Amsterdam, Netherlands, March 26, 2026 - Geely Auto, a leading global automotive brand, today announced its official entry into the Benelux market with the launch of two technologically advanced electrified SUVs: the all-electric Geely E5 and the Starray EM-i plug-in Hybrid. This strategic expansion into Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg—a region at the forefront of European electrified mobility—marks a significant milestone in Geely Auto's expansion across Europe. The brand introduces its customer-centric "Made for Real Life" philosophy, offering intelligent mobility solutions seamlessly integrated into the daily journeys of drivers across Benelux.

Brand Vision and International Operations

Geely Auto is the mainstream brand of Geely Holding Group that operates as a global automotive group in more than 100 markets worldwide and serves over 20 million users. The group advances intelligent and electrified mobility through a global research and development network. The brand develops vehicles around real-life mobility scenarios: daily commuting, family travel, weekend trips, and more. This approach combines practical design with intuitive technology to support everyday driving requirements.

Core Engineering and Global Architecture

Electrified vehicles from Geely’s integrated platform, powertrain, and safety technologies developed through the company’s global R&D network. Built on the Global Intelligent Electric Architecture (GEA), the two models share core technologies including the 11-in-1 Electric Drive, while each also features dedicated innovations — with the Geely EM-i Super Hybrid system powering the Starray EM-i, and the Geely Short Blade Battery equipping the Geely E5. The in-house developed Flyme Auto system standard on both the Geely E5 and Starray EM-i supports the digital interface and driving experience. The Flyme Auto system is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Geely E5 Technical Specifications

The Geely E5 is a fully electric SUV designed for comfort and intelligent mobility. Built on the GEA platform and powered by the 11-in-1 Electric Drive. This system enables a charge of 30 to 80 percent in 20 minutes. Interior features include seat heating, ventilation, memory, massage functions, and leg rest. The cabin contains 33 smart storage compartments for convenience. Trunk capacity is 461 L, expanding to 1,877 L when seats are folded. The base model (Pro) comes with a maximum range of 430 km WLTP Range Combined powered by a 60.22kwH battery. Respectively, the extended range option (Pro+) and the premium option (Max+) come with a maximum range of 475 km and 450 km WLTP Range Combined powered by a 68.39kwH battery.

Starray EM-i Performance and Range

The Starray EM-i uses the Geely EM-i Super Hybrid system to deliver an electric first driving experience focused on efficiency. It features a tested combined driving range of up to 1055 km (WLTP). The base model (Pro) comes with a maximum range of 83km WLTP Electric Range Combined powered by an 18.4 kWh battery. The extended range option (Pro+) and the premium option (Max+) come with a maximum range of 136 km WLTP Electric Range Combined powered by a 29.8kwH battery. Cargo capacity is 528 L, reaching 2,065 L with the rear seats folded. The vehicle supports DC charging up to 60 kW and provides V2L and V2V capabilities up to 6.6 kW for powering (multiple) external devices.

Benelux Market Integration and Service Network

Geely Auto will establish a retail and service network in the Benelux through collaboration with local automotive retail groups. Before the summer, 20 authorized locations will be operational, with 35 locations expected before the end of the year. Geely Auto expects to have enough locations operational by 2028 to allow a maximum driving distance of 25 minutes for any customer.

Through the introduction of the Geely E5 and Starray EM-i, the brand delivers intelligent and practical solutions designed for everyday driving needs. The "Made for Real Life" philosophy remains central to the commitment to the Benelux: the company develops vehicles for real life scenarios by combining practical design with intuitive technology.

Ownership benefits include 8 years or 200.000 km vehicle warranty, with electrified models receiving the same warranty on their battery. Additionally, 24/7 roadside assistance is included for the first 3 years. A centralized supply hub for spare parts is located in Amsterdam and will service multiple markets across the regions besides the Netherlands.

Commercial Availability and Pricing

Pricing starts from €37.990 for the Geely E5 and €34.990 for the Starray EM-i. Customer deliveries are expected to begin in Q2 2026. Financing and leasing solutions are available for both private and fleet customers.
